Upcoming Opportunities in December and The Deadline and Guidelines for Issue 2 Have Been Extended
The deadline for submitting your works of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual art for publication in Issue 2 has been extended until January 31, 2022. The current guidelines have also been expanded to include the themes of life, love, and whatever floats your boat! Just make it meaningful, and maybe, show some of your wisdom on the theme(s) in your entry. I’m interested in honesty, comedy, and development of character, but I also feel it is important to publish compositions on more serious topics from which we can learn. (If you already submitted your entry prior to the date of this notification, you may resubmit until the new closing date.)
In addition, Lehigh Valley Literary Magazine has opportunities for spoken word performances coming up in December in the Lehigh Valley. If you wish to perform on any one of the following dates, please send the piece you’d like to read with the date you can perform to Editor@lvliterature.org and indicate if you would like it published in the next issue.

If you are a visual artist and interested in selling prints or original artwork at the event, please send an email to Editor@lvliterature.org with a link to your portfolio or a picture of the artwork that you would like to sell. Please also indicate if you would like to submit one of your pieces for publication in Issue 2.
Curator
On the night of our New Year 2022 Dance Party, we will hold a silent art auction on the second floor of Friedens Fire Company. We would like to hire someone to set up the collection prior to the event, to inform participants in the auction about the artists and their work, and to attend to the auction during the fundraiser. You don’t need years of prior experience in museum curation for the position, but you must be interested in art, curatorial design, and/or event planning and looking to gain experience in those areas. Depending on your experience, the position pays up to $20 per hour for up to 6 hours on the night of the event. Please send your resume to Contact@lvliterature.org and write “Curator for NYE” in the subject line.
Photographer
We would like to hire a photographer or an amateur photographer looking to gain more experience in event photography to attend to our photo booth on the night of our New Year 2022 Dance Party fundraiser. Depending on your experience, the position pays up to $20 per hour for up to 6 hours on the night of the event. Please send a resume and/or a link to your portfolio to Contact@lvliterature.org and write “Photographer for NYE” in the subject line.
