Theme for Issue #1: Hope in the World

Lehigh Valley Literary Magazine is accepting submissions of unpublished poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and visual art for publication in the Summer/Fall issue, which reflect the title and theme, “Hope in the World.” Selections are based on clarity, style, and relevance. It is allowed, but not necessary, to include the exact words of the theme in your writing. Each person may submit one poem, short story, essay, or skit, and one visual artwork. While there are no expectations for works to be perfect, we do encourage you to be original and to write in your own words. The same ideas of authenticity apply to visual art, too! Selected candidates will be notified after the June 9th closing date. Written compositions and visual artwork will be considered separately for prizes and publication. When submitting to the Editor, please include your name, the title of your work with the date and place of its completion, the attached document(s), your contact information, and something you’d like to share about yourself in the email. If you are submitting a short story or essay, please indicate if it is a work of fiction or nonfiction. Prizes for the Summer/Fall issue will be announced closer to the publication date in the Prizes and News sections on this website. Selected candidates will receive prizes and have the opportunity to be published in an anthology scheduled for release in 2022. There are no entry fees ever.

Email your poem, short story, essay, skit, or artwork to submit@lvliterature.org by June 9th.
